“I want full coverage but I don’t want it to look cakey.”

The “cakey” look is based on how well one takes care of their skin. Everyones skin complexion is different and full coverage doesn’t mean it will cover everything, sometimes it can bring out more imperfections. I use prestige products that will compliment everyone’s individual needs.

How do I avoid “cake face” with my skin care?

#1: Have a good skin care routine with a makeup remover, cleanser, exfoliator, moisturizer and of course a sunscreen! Even oily girls should be using moisturizer twice a day. You can add other products like vitamin c and retinol.
#2: Avoid the spray tan and real tan!!! Sun is the most harmful thing you can unintentionally do to your skin. Spray tans will inevitably look blotchy and will make your makeup more cakey. If you do get a spray tan please avoid your face and neck.
#3: You may not notice your skin being “peely” but when applying makeup it can happen. Whether you are dry or oily please moisturize twice daily! A lot of people with an oily complexion actually may be more dry than they think, their skin is overcompensating by producing oil to hydrate.
#4: Exfoliation is key. Using an exfoliation mask 1-2 times a week will help with patchy or peeling skin in addition to moisturizing!                             #5 Facials! Check out your local spa for facial services, start 3 months or more before the big day.

False eyelashes vs. eyelash extensions

False eyelashes are either individual or strip removable lashes, that I provide. False lashes are removed at the end of the night. You can reuse false lashes 2-4 times if you cleanse and store them properly. Eyelash extensions are individual synthetic lashes put on each of your lashes semi-permanently to last 2-3 weeks. Typically done in a salon and typical price range is from $50-$200. I love eyelash extensions for my clients because they are a pain free, annoyance free way to have fuller lashes for your big day. As I do not do eyelash extensions, please contact me for recommendations.

What to do now?

Please fill out the contact me page. Send me your full name, event date, exact address of the event, how many people are in need of services, if you have a timeline and if you are wanting a trial. Any extra details are helpful. If I do not respond within 1 week, please reach out again!

Trials

Trials are helpful as I get to know your skin and features prior to the big day. Trials are not required and are the same price as a basic application price of $80. For trials the client travels to me in St. Cloud. If you miss your trial more than two times I will not be able to book with you or an extra fee will be applied, please connect with Mikaela if this is the case. Based on availability and extra fees I may travel to you. Contact me for more information.

All inclusive?

I am not an all inclusive business. Meaning I do not include gratuity into my final prices. I want to keep my prices reasonable for the area. If you or your party would like to tip, you may share my or my assistants Venmo with your party.
